Silk is a smooth, rich duo featuring singer Jane Christie-Johnston and singer/guitarist Graeme Ewing. Since 2006 Jane and Graeme have been playing beautiful music at a wide range of functions and venues, including weddings, fundraisers, dinners, cocktail parties and festivals. Highlight performances have included the launch of the Taste Festival 2012-13 (as well as multiple Taste Festivals over the years), the Cancer Council Relay for Life, the Crane Industry Council of Australia conference, and three consecutive Tasmanian Seafood Industry Awards nights. Silk also featured in the Sunday 'Tapas & Tunes' series at Southern Lights Hotel, at Friday evening sessions at the Bellerive Yacht Club, and at various restaurants, bars and hotels across Tasmania.
Silk's repertoire includes easy listening covers ranging from the mainstream to the unexpected. Be soothed and stirred by their interpretation of smoky jazz, upbeat popular and other songs performed with gorgeous harmonies and an acoustic flavour.
