silk (jane c-j + graeme ewing)
Silk featured Jane Christie-Johnston and singer/guitarist Graeme Ewing, who played beautiful music together for almost 15 years up until 2019. They played at weddings, fundraisers, dinners, cocktail parties and festivals. Highlight performances included the launch of the Taste Festival 2012-13 (as well as multiple Taste Festivals over the years), the Cancer Council Relay for Life, the Crane Industry Council of Australia conference, and three consecutive Tasmanian Seafood Industry Awards nights. Silk also featured in the Sunday 'Tapas & Tunes' series at Southern Lights Hotel, at Friday evening sessions at the Bellerive Yacht Club, and at various restaurants, bars and hotels across Tasmania.
Silk's repertoire included easy listening covers ranging from the mainstream to the unexpected - smoky jazz, upbeat popular hits and a huge range of other songs, all performed with gorgeous harmonies and an acoustic flavour.
