FAQs for event organisers
What we do
• We act as an efficient and cost effective link between event organisers
and performers to ensure that you get the right entertainment for your
function or event, without having to do all the hard work!
• We take care of the administrative arrangements involved in booking
professional and reliable performers, and we provide each one with a
comprehensive pre-performance briefing specific to each event. This helps
to avoid communication breakdowns in relation to performance times,
audience expectations, material suitability, sound/staging equipment and
so on.
• Leading up to the event, we liaise as frequently as necessary with event
organisers and with performers to ensure that everyone is kept
well-informed and that it all goes smoothly ‘on the night’.
• We maintain extensive and current databases of performers and venues so,
whether you need entertainment or a place in which to entertain, we are
always in the best position to help you find what you’re looking for.
• In the unfortunate (and rare!) event that a performer falls ill or is
unable to perform, we are able to find alternative high quality
entertainment at short notice.
• We can also assist you to arrange sound/staging services, to find staff
for usher/door/bar duties, to produce tickets/programs etc, or to actively
promote or market your event.
What we don’t do
• We don’t provide public liability insurance or any other form of
insurance for performers or for your functions/events.
• We don’t represent or act as an ‘agent’ or ‘promoter’ for individual
performers. This means that when we’re advising you about suitable
entertainment for your event, we’re not obliged to suggest particular
performers and you are free to book anyone from our database.
• We don’t provide sound equipment or staging services for booked
performances, unless these are specifically requested and paid for by
either you or the performer (we can help you, just ask us!)
• We don’t attend your event unless you specifically ask us to do so.
What we expect
• We expect that you’ll treat performers with respect and courtesy.
• We expect that you’ll be happy with the service provided by Ta-Daa! and
that you’ll tell your friends and colleagues to give us a try!
Notwithstanding this, we expect that you’ll contact us if you have any
problems or issues relating to the services we provide. The sooner you
contact us the sooner we can get started on finding answers or solutions!
• We expect your payment within 14 days of receiving an invoice from us.
This includes invoices for deposits as well as final payments. We love
being able to thank our performers by paying them promptly!
• We expect that all outstanding invoices will be settled before new
performers are booked (unless prior arrangements are made with us).
Booking a performer
• When we receive a booking request for a specific performer, we’ll
contact the performer to check their availability. If the performer is
available, we’ll contact you to provide a quote and, if you accept the
quote, we’ll arrange for the performer’s attendance at your event. If the
performer isn’t available, we’ll contact you and suggest alternative
entertainment options.
• If you don’t have a specific performer in mind, we can provide you with
a list of performers and their costs so that you can choose one according
to the style and budget of your event.
• Once you’ve selected a performer who is available for your event, we
will take this to be a booking and we’ll invoice you for a deposit while
we continue with the administrative arrangements. Some or all of the
deposit will be non-refundable to cover administrative costs – see our
terms and conditions for more information.
• We’ll invoice you for the balance of your payment within 7 days after
your event.
Payment process
• We ask that you pay within 14 days of receiving our invoice. This
includes invoices for deposits as well as final payments. This allows us
to pay performers in a timely fashion and then everyone is happy!
• Our preferred method of payment is by direct deposit into our bank
account – you can do this if you have the ‘pay anyone’ function on your
own account. Our bank account details are as follows:
BSB: 807-009
Account: 1231 8624
Account name: Ta-Daa! Professional Entertainment
Please make sure that you put your invoice number, and/or your name (or
company name) as a payment reference, so that we can easily identify the
source of the payment. Even better, send us an email to let us know when
you’ve deposited your payment.
• If you’d prefer, you can send us a cheque or money order (payable to Ta-Daa!
Professional Entertainment) – send with the payment slip from your invoice
to GPO Box 2212, Hobart, Tas, 7001.
• If necessary you can pay in cash but please don’t send cash through the
post! We can arrange collection if required.
